Description of Ramadan on LaunchGood
This Ramadan, LaunchGood is again offering prizes to eligible Fundraisers through several initiatives. Ramadan on LaunchGood consists of two major promotions, the Daily Contest and the Referrals Program, pursuant to the rules, terms, and conditions described in more detail in this document. This article is specifically about the Daily Leaderboards contest and there is a second article on the Referrals Program: Ramadan Referral Program: Terms & Conditions
- The Daily Contest or Daily Leaderboard (hereinafter, the “Contest”) is sponsored by LaunchGood (in such capacity, the “Sponsor”) and hosted on a crowdfunding platform operated by LaunchGood through its website (the “Platform”). The Sponsor is responsible for providing the prize(s) for the Contest. The Sponsor may also be referred to herein as the “Prize Provider.” Your participation in the Contest means that you unconditionally agree to these Official Rules and all decisions by the Sponsor and Prize Provider, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest.
- This contest and program are completely voluntary promotions, cancellable at any time by LaunchGood and/or the Sponsor, as further detailed below.
Daily Contest Description and Eligibility.
The Daily Contest (the "Contest") is open to all registered fundraisers on LaunchGood (the "Platform") who have an active campaign during the contest period. The Contest consists of two ranking categories: (i) Most Raised, which tracks the total amount of online donations received per day, and (ii) Most Supported, which measures the number of unique online donors per day. By participating in the Contest, fundraisers will be eligible to win a daily prize throughout Ramadan.
- Participant Eligibility: The Contest is open to all active campaigns on the Platform during the contest period. If a participant is representing an organization, they must be an authorized representative with the legal capacity to bind the organization. By entering the Contest, the participant represents and warrants that they have read and agree to be bound by these Official Rules on behalf of their organization. All entries made in connection with the Contest are subject to verification before a prize is awarded. Employees, independent contractors, officers, and directors of LaunchGood (the "Sponsor"), as well as their immediate family members (spouses, parents, siblings, and children) and household members, whether or not related, are not eligible to participate if the campaign has previously received a boost from the Platform. Additionally, all campaigns and related content must comply with LaunchGood’s Terms of Use. Any campaign containing unlawful, hateful, or obscene content, as determined by LaunchGood in its sole discretion, will be disqualified. Furthermore, all funds raised through a campaign must be used solely for the intended purpose stated within the campaign. If a campaign is found to be in violation of these terms, LaunchGood reserves the right to disqualify the campaign from the Contest and take further action if necessary.
- Donation Eligibility: Donations must be processed through the Platform at https://www.launchgood.com/ (the “Website”) using a credit or debit card during the Contest Period (defined below). Additionally, donations must be made through the Platform and its third-party payment processor during the Contest Period and successfully processed to completion through the Platform and its third-party payment processor(s) before the end of the Contest Period in order to count toward the Contest. Donations can take time to process. Donations made outside the Contest Period and/or offline, even if recorded on the Website, including, but not limited to, donations by cash, credit card, money order, or any other donations not successfully processed online via credit or debit card (“Offline Donations”), or donations that are refunded, returned or disputed, or that are otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules are not eligible and will not be counted toward the Contest. The Sponsor has the right to verify any donation, and any donation that is subject to chargeback or dispute may not count toward the total amount raised. Neither Sponsor nor the Platform is responsible for any delays in processing any donations. The list of donations on any particular Campaign page, if any, or any similar tally of donation(s), are unofficial tallies of the amounts of donations in a Campaign and may not accurately reflect the donations made based on a variety of factors. Results of the Contest are not official until the Sponsor has verified the winner(s).
Ineligible Donations
Donation receipts and confirmation emails do not confirm donation eligibility. Ineligible donations, including Offline Donations, will not contribute to the Campaign total. organizations and proxies are prohibited from contributing money to their Campaigns, whether directly or indirectly. Neither organization nor a proxy may donate any money to an organization’s Campaign, whether by taking money from its account(s) to donate to its Campaign or otherwise, no matter the intent. Such contributions are considered ineligible donations and will not be counted toward the organization's Campaign. This includes but is not limited to, receiving cash or check donations or having an employee, Board Member, or other individual act as the organization's proxy. Such contributions are considered ineligible. Such donations will not be counted. Donations made via LaunchGood features, including Ads, will be excluded from the Daily Leaderboards. Collectively, each of the donations specified in this paragraph as ineligible shall be referred to as “Ineligible Donations.” Additionally, donations made through LaunchGood’s internal marketing features—including but not limited to homepage placements, Discover page listings, and paid ads—will be excluded from the Daily Leaderboards. Donations flagged as originating from LaunchGood’s internal promotions (SRC = “internal_” & “lg_”) will not be counted. To ensure compliance with this rule, LaunchGood reserves the right to conduct manual reviews using its internal data systems and to disqualify any donations deemed ineligible. Our team reserves the right to conduct manual reviews using our internal data system to ensure compliance with this rule.
Acceptable and Non-Acceptable First-Party Donations
To ensure fair competition and prevent manipulation of leaderboard standings, LaunchGood defines specific scenarios where first-party donations may or may not be accepted.
First-Party Donation Policy Update (Effective March 13, 2026)
Beginning March 13, 2026, LaunchGood will implement a standardized policy governing first-party donations across all Ramadan competitions, including the Daily Contest, Power Hours, Mosque Competition, and Mosque Competition 2.0.
Under this policy, first-party donations are capped at $30,000 USD per individual across all campaigns and contests for the duration of Ramadan.
For the purposes of this policy, first-party donors include individuals directly connected to the organization running the campaign, including but not limited to:
- board members
- staff members
- founders
- key stakeholders
- individuals with decision-making authority or financial oversight within the organization
LaunchGood reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion, whether a donor is classified as a first-party donor.
Donations from individuals classified as first-party donors may be permitted up to the $30,000 limit described above. Any amount exceeding this cap may be excluded from leaderboard calculations and contest eligibility.
LaunchGood may review requests for exceptions to a donor’s classification. However, any exception must be reviewed and explicitly approved by LaunchGood.
This policy ensures consistent enforcement across multiple contests running simultaneously during Ramadan and helps LaunchGood manage compliance obligations with payment service providers and regulatory requirements.
Unless otherwise stated in this section, all other donation eligibility rules outlined in these Terms and Conditions continue to apply.

- These donations are permitted and will count toward the leaderboard, provided they comply with the First-Party Donation Policy described above.
d. Charities Donating to Each Other to Influence Leaderboard Standings

- Their fundraiser does not comply with LaunchGood’s Terms of Use or these Official Rules.
- All funds raised through a campaign must be used solely for the intended purpose stated in the campaign.

Campaigns will be ranked based on the total amount of eligible donations successfully processed during the Power Hour window.
- Winner: One (1) campaign per Power Hour
- Prize: $5,000 boost
- Cap: A campaign may win only once across all Power Hours
If a campaign wins a Power Hour, it will not be eligible to win another Power Hour during the same period.

- engages in fraudulent activity

Due to processing times, a donation initiated during a Power Hour may not be counted if it is completed after the end of the applicable Power Hour window.
Similarly, donations initiated before a Power Hour window but processed during the window may not be counted toward that Power Hour leaderboard.
LaunchGood is not responsible for delays in payment processing caused by payment providers, network conditions, or other technical factors.
Only donations successfully processed within the official Power Hour window will be counted toward the competition results.
Leaderboard Display and Data Accuracy
Leaderboard totals displayed during Power Hours are unofficial and provided for informational purposes only.
Displayed totals may differ from the final verified results due to factors including:
- payment processing delays
- refunded or disputed transactions
- manual verification of donation sources
- removal of ineligible donations
Final Power Hour rankings will be determined after LaunchGood completes its internal verification process.
LaunchGood’s verified results will be considered final and binding.

All decisions made by LaunchGood regarding eligibility, rankings, and prize distribution are final.
Ramadan Boosts and Prize Distribution.
Prizes will be awarded to campaigns in the form of donations, or Ramadan boosts, from Ramadan Challenge members. These donations will be labeled as “Ramadan Challenge” in the donor report. Actual Ramadan boost numbers can vary based on the number of donors signed up to give. Prize distribution will start after a campaign wins a prize and may occur across several days. All prizes will be fully allocated by the end of Ramadan. In the event that two or more users are tied for a single place on a leaderboard, LaunchGood will split the total prize value equally among all users who have tied. In some cases, when allocating funds, LaunchGood may direct the Ramadan boost to a different fundraiser run by the same organization. This ensures the prize supports the broader impact of the organization.
Limitations and Restrictions
Sponsor, the Platform, and/or Prize Provider reserve the right to unilaterally modify, suspend, cancel, or discontinue any Contest at any time and in its or their sole discretion(s), including to comply with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, or to safeguard users, business partners, or the public. This may also occur if factors beyond their control, such as viruses, bugs, or technical failures, compromise the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Contest, or for no reason at all. In the event of such changes, the Platform and/or Sponsor will make reasonable efforts to notify participants. If feasible based on the data available at that time, winners will be selected from all eligible donations received prior to the changes. You are eligible to win on only one leaderboard per day, not both. The prize will be awarded based on your highest boost donation across the two leaderboards. Any winnings on the leaderboard with the lower prize will be forfeited. Once a campaign hits $30,000 USD in boosts collectively, it is no longer eligible to compete on either leaderboard with the exception of the 27th night, March 16th 2026.
LaunchGood may, at its sole and reasonable discretion, disqualify any campaign, donation, or prize withdrawal if it determines that such action is necessary to maintain the integrity, safety, or lawful operation of the platform.
Subject to LaunchGood’s Terms of Use.
