Ramadan Referral Program: Terms & Conditions

The Referrals Program (hereinafter, the “Referrals Program”) is also sponsored by LaunchGood (”Sponsor”) and hosted on the Platform (”LaunchGood Website”). The Sponsor is responsible for providing the prize(s) for the Referrals Program. The Sponsor may also be referred to herein as the “Prize Provider.” Your participation in the Referrals Program means that you unconditionally agree to these Official Rules and all decisions by the Sponsor and Prize Provider, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Referrals Program.

Referrals Program Description and Eligibility

To participate in the Referrals Program, you must be a registered user of the Platform and possess a unique referral link provided by the Platform. For every donor who joins the Referrals Program through the unique link and signs up to donate any amount per day during Ramadan, the participating organizations can get up to $100 (or in their local currency as specified below) per person towards their fundraising campaign on the Platform.

  • Participant Eligibility. The Referrals Program is open to all active campaigns on the Platform. Participants representing their organization must be authorized representatives with the legal capacity to bind the organization. By participating, the participant represents and warrants that they have read, and hereby agrees to, these Official Rules (”Terms and Conditions”) on behalf of their organization. All entries made in connection with the Referrals Program are governed by these Official Rules and are subject to verification of eligibility before a prize is delivered. Entries that are submitted in connection with the Referrals Program will only be eligible if (A) the organization’s Campaign (as defined below), and related content posted by the organization, does not contain content that is unlawful, hateful or obscene, and does not violate the Terms of Use in any other way, in the Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion, and (B) the funds from the Campaign are being used, and will continue to be used, solely for the intended purpose for which the funds are being raised, as stated in the Campaign. By participating in the Referrals Program, the Representative represents and warrants that the organization is eligible to participate in accordance with these Official Rules.
  • Donation Eligibility. Donations must be processed through the Website using a credit card during the Contest Period. Additionally, donations must be made through the Platform and its third-party payment processor during the Referrals Program Period (defined below) and successfully processed to completion through the Platform and its third-party payment processor(s) before the end of the Referrals Program Period in order to count toward the Referrals Program. Donations can take time to process. Donations made outside the Referrals Program Period and/or offline, even if recorded on the Website, including, but not limited to, donations by cash, credit card, money order, or any other donations not successfully processed online via credit or debit card (“Offline Donations”), or donations that are refunded, returned or disputed, or that are otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules are not eligible and will not be counted toward the Referrals Program. The Sponsor has the right to verify any donation, and any donation that is subject to chargeback or dispute may not count toward the total amount raised. Neither Sponsor nor the Platform is responsible for any delays in processing any donations. The list of donations on any particular Campaign page, if any, or any similar tally of donation(s), are unofficial tallies of the amounts of donations in a Campaign and may not accurately reflect the donations made based on a variety of factors. Results of the Referrals Program are not official until the Sponsor has verified the winner(s).
  • Ineligible Donations. Donation receipts and confirmation emails do not confirm donation eligibility. Ineligible Donations, including Offline Donations, will not contribute to the Campaign total. Donors who are already signed up or pre-enrolled in a subscription service are not eligible for a referral boost. Our team reserves the right to conduct manual reviews using our internal data system to ensure compliance with this rule.
  • Minimum Donation Amount. The minimum donation amount is $1, or if the donor selects another currency, the applicable amount is noted for that currency as follows: 1 AUD, 1 CAD, 1 EUR, 1 GBP, 1 NZD, 1 SGD, 1 USD or 5 MYR. Donors will have the option to donate in their local currency. The referral boost, if any, will be made to the Campaign in the same currency as the one the donor selected when signing up.
  • Distribution of Donor Contributions: Donations made by referred donors will be distributed to a different fundraiser each day as part of the Ramadan Challenge. Only on one of those days will the donor’s contribution be allocated to the fundraiser that referred them.

Referral Boost Status.

A referral boost will be marked as 'Pending' until the Platform has received one (1) successful donation charge from the donor. Once the Platform has confirmed receipt of the donation charge, the referral boost status will change to 'Awaiting Payout'. The referral boost will remain in the 'Awaiting Payout' status until the Platform pays out the referral boost to the donor.

Boost Disclaimer: All referral boosts are issued as a donation boost to the fundraiser and are subject to standard payment processing fees.

Referral Link Policy.

There is no restriction on the number of referral links a participant can generate. However, for each campaign, a participant can only create one team link (referral code). Once a referral link is created, it cannot be changed. Participants must contact the Platform for any issues or concerns regarding their referral link.

Referral Disqualification Policy.

LaunchGood reserves the right to disqualify any fundraisers—and withhold boosts for those referrals—who deliberately encourage their donors to contribute only the minimum amount with the intent to cancel shortly thereafter or otherwise exploit the system.

FAQ

1. How does LaunchGood fund the $100 referral reward for fundraisers?

Our referral program is designed to incentivize charities to engage their donor base in consistent giving, particularly during Ramadan. Here’s how it works:

  • Charities encourage their donors to give daily by signing up for scheduled giving.
  • Donors contribute various amounts, ranging from £/$1 to £/$1,000 per day.
  • Donations are pooled together and used to reward verified charities that have earned boosts.
  • Whatever donations that are not utilized for Referrals boosts, are allocated through daily contests, power hours and match funds to maximize impact. Learn more about our incentives here.
  • Funds are directed toward CCs who earn boosts, and donors receive receipts for their contributions.
  • Our goal is to ensure donations reach as many unique causes as possible.

This system ensures that donor contributions are maximized for charitable causes while rewarding charities for engaging their communities effectively.

2. If a donor gives $2 daily ($60 total), where does the Extra $40 for the $100 boost come from?

The £/$100 boost is an incentive provided by LaunchGood to encourage early sign-ups for the Ramadan Challenge. This amount is not directly tied to the total a single donor contributes. Instead:

  • LaunchGood provides the full boost amount as a reward for charities when a donor commits to scheduled giving.
  • The additional funds come from the collective giving pool, gathered through funds pooled together from scheduled giving
  • This ensures charities receive meaningful support, regardless of how much an individual donor contributes.

3. Does LaunchGood pay influencers or volunteers for referrals?

At LaunchGood, we facilitate a platform where influencers and volunteers can collaborate with charities to amplify fundraising efforts. However, we do not provide payments to these individuals for their participation in fundraising activities.

  • We do not pay influencers or volunteers for fundraising activities.
  • We provide a platform for fundraising and are not involved in any financial agreements between influencers, volunteers or charities.
