On Behalf of fundraisers are created by an individual or organization to raise funds for another person or beneficiary.
The following are the guidelines on the documents that will be required when creating a fundraiser on behalf of someone else. Depending on the purpose of the fundraiser, our Trust & Safety team may request these documents or additional information at any time before a payout is issued.
Minimum Required Documents
- A valid ID for the campaign creator
- A valid ID for the person you are fundraising on behalf of (the beneficiary)
- A valid bank statement issued within the last three months showing:
- The bank logo, full name on the account, and full account number
- If the bank account is new, we may accept an official bank letter instead
Attestation Letter
In some cases, our Trust & Safety team will ask the beneficiary to complete and sign an Attestation Letter and provide a valid ID. The Attestation Letter confirms the beneficiary's consent and support for the fundraiser.
If the beneficiary is unable to sign the letter, their next of kin may complete and sign it on their behalf. The next of kin will also need to provide a valid government-issued ID.
Additional Supporting Documents
Depending on the purpose of your fundraiser, additional supporting documents may be required. Please refer to our Campaign Specific Requirements article for more information about the documents required for specific fundraising purposes.
Fundraising on Behalf of an Organization
If you are fundraising on behalf of an organization, such as an NGO, business, or community group, additional verification may be required.
Using a Personal Bank Account
- The Minimum Required Documents
- Organization registration document: Required if we’re unable to verify the organization’s registration through the relevant regulator’s website.
