GivingTuesday is a global day of giving that takes place every year on the Tuesday after Cyber Monday. It began in 2012 as a movement to encourage generosity and support for those in need, and has since become one of the most impactful giving moments worldwide.
Last year alone, more than $3.6 billion was raised globally. On LaunchGood, Muslim fundraisers rallied over 18,000 donors to raise more than $1 million in just 24 hours.
This year, GivingTuesday falls on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, and the excitement begins at 12 AM EST.
If your fundraiser is live on that day, you're automatically part of the GivingTuesday Challenge. No sign-ups. No extra steps. Just keep your fundraiser active, share it widely, and rally your supporters.

How to Participate
You're automatically part of the action if your fundraiser is live on December 2, 2025.
Here's what’s happening throughout the day:
- 24-Hour Competition – Compete to raise the most funds or gain the most supporters and win up to $25,000.
- Wildcard Giveaways – Fundraisers with 50 or more unique donors are entered into $1,000 draws every two hours.
- Power Hours – Raise the most during your region’s hour and win a $5,000 boost.
Let’s take a closer look at how each competition works.
24-Hour Competition
The 24-Hour Competition begins at 12:00 AM EST on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, and ends exactly 24 hours later at 12:00 AM EST on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. every live fundraiser is competing in two categories:
- Most Raised
- Most unique supporters
The top 10 fundraisers in each category will win a cash prize:
- $25,000
- $15,000
- $7,500
- $5,000
- $2,500
- $2,000
- $1,500
- $1,000
- $750
- $500
Each fundraiser can only win in one category. If a fundraiser qualifies for both at the same prize level, the prize in the second category goes to the next closest eligible fundraiser.
Wildcard Giveaways
Every two hours, one fundraiser with 50 or more unique donors will be randomly selected to win a $1,000 boost.
- First draw: 2:00 AM EST
- Final draw: Midnight (12:00 AM EST)
A fundraiser can only win one Wildcard prize
Once you reach 50 unique donors, you’re entered into every remaining draw for the rest of the day.
Power Hours
Power Hours are open to all fundraisers, but we’ve designed the timing to best align with peak giving hours in each region. This makes it easier for fundraisers in those areas to engage their communities and maximize participation.
- EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa): 7 PM – 8 PM GMT
- North America: 7 PM – 8 PM EST
- Asia-Pacific: 7 PM – 8 PM MYT
Winners will be announced shortly after each Power Hour ends.
Competition Rules
To keep things fair and transparent:
- Unique donors only - Each qualifying donation must come from a unique donor, using a different email address and credit card.
- Excluded donations - To ensure a level playing field, the following donations will not be counted:
- Donations made through LaunchGood Ads, Boosts, or homepage placements
- Donations from the fundraiser organizer, beneficiary, or any affiliated organization
- One prize per category - Each fundraiser is eligible to win one prize per category per day.
- Tie-breaker - In the event of a tie, the prize will be split evenly between the winners.
- Keeping it fair - LaunchGood reserves the right to disqualify any fundraiser that doesn’t follow the rules.

Winner Announcements
Once the day ends and our review process is complete, we’ll reach out to all winners by email. There’s no need to follow up — if you win, we’ll let you know.
We’ll also share highlights and winner announcements on LaunchGood’s Instagram.
Boost Payouts
If you win a prize, that amount will be added to your fundraiser as a Boost. It will appear as a donation and count toward your total raised. Boosts are processed and applied within four to six weeks.
You can track Boost payouts by visiting your fundraiser page and clicking on the Boost tab. There, you’ll see whether your Boost is paid or still pending.
Note: Boost payouts appear on your fundraiser but do not mean the funds have been transferred to your bank account. All Boosts are subject to standard payment processing fees.

- Tell donors exactly what you're raising for and how their contribution will make a difference.
- Start building momentum early
- Use email, WhatsApp, Instagram, and other channels to spread the word in the days leading up to GivingTuesday.
- Have your content ready
- Prepare your visuals, key messages, and links in advance so you're ready to go live and focus on engaging your audience.
- Secure early support
- Ask your close supporters to donate early. It helps you qualify for Wildcards faster and builds confidence for new donors.
- Promote any matching gifts
- Let supporters know if their donation can be doubled through a match. It’s a great motivator.
- Keep the energy going all day
- Celebrate wins, share updates, and thank donors in real time to create momentum and encourage more giving.
