How to Join the Dhul Hijjah Challenge
- Sign up for the Dhul Hijjah Challenge – Visit our Dhul Hijjah Challenge page or sign up through a referral link from a fundraiser you’d like to support.
- Click Schedule your giving to begin – Start your journey of giving.
- Customize your giving – You’ll be brought to a page where you can set your giving preferences (see image below).
- Pick your currency – Choose from our available currency options. The minimum donation amount is $1 in all currencies except for MYR, which has a minimum of 5 MYR.
- Set your daily giving amount – Enter the amount you’d like to give each day. The amount you enter here will be charged daily throughout the challenge. On the right side of the page, you’ll see a Giving Grid that shows your set amount for each of the 10 days. Each grid displays the total amount per day, including the tip, giving you a clear view of your planned giving.
- Opt in for Zakat – Tick the box if you want your donation to automatically be marked as Zakat whenever it goes to a Zakat-verified fundraiser. However, opting in does not guarantee that your donation will only go to Zakat-verified fundraisers.
If you want more control over where your giving goes, you can customize your Giving List. Learn how to manage your Giving List here. - Customize your tip – Click on the drop-down menu and select Custom. Then, key in your preferred tip amount—it will automatically be reflected as part of the total shown on the Giving Grid. Note that this is the tip amount for each day of the challenge.

- Click Next – After setting your giving amount and tip, click Next to proceed to the Select Payment Method page.
- Select your payment method – Once you have set your payment method, click Next to continue.
- Review your daily giving summary – You will be brought to a summary page displaying:
- Daily charge (Dhul Hijjah 1-10) – The amount you will be charged each day.
- Total over 10 days – The total amount for the entire challenge.
- Card connected – The card that will be used for the charges.
- Pre-enroll for future Dhul Hijjah Challenges – Opt in if you want to automatically join future Dhul Hijjah Challenges.
- Click Confirm – Once you’ve reviewed your details, click Confirm to complete your participation.

What Happens If You Sign Up Through a Referral Link?
Signing up for the Dhul Hijjah Challenge through a referral link has some great benefits!

- When you sign up through a referral link, your first day of giving will automatically support the fundraiser linked to that referral. This means that your donation on the first day directly benefits that cause.
- Unlock a boost for the fundraiser
- By signing up through a referral link, you make the fundraiser eligible to receive up to $50 of boost, just because you joined through their link! It’s a simple way to multiply your impact right from the start. Check out the details here.
- Daily support for different fundraisers
- Even if you sign up through a referral link, your giving will not be limited to that single fundraiser. Each day of the challenge, your donation will go to a different impactful fundraiser, curated by LaunchGood.
How Referral Links Work
- A referral link typically follows this format: LaunchGood.com/TeamXXX
- The XXX represents the team name. For example: LaunchGood.com/TeamLaunchGood
- When you click the referral link, you’ll be taken to the sign-up page where you can:
- Review the team name you are supporting.
- See the fundraiser page where your first donation will go.
- Click on the fundraiser page title to check out more details and consider making an additional manual donation if you’d like to support it further.
If you choose to donate more manually, you can do so anytime by visiting the fundraiser page directly.

How to Update Your Dhul Hijjah Challenge Settings
If you need to modify your Dhul Hijjah Challenge settings, follow these steps:
Before You Start
Make sure you’re logged into your LaunchGood account.
Access the Settings Page
You can reach the Dhul Hijjah Challenge settings in two ways:
- From your profile:
- Click on the hamburger menu (☰) next to your profile photo.
- Expand the dropdown labeled Your Giving and click on Scheduled Giving
- In the Scheduled Giving section, look under Active challenges:
- If you see Dhul Hijjah Challenge, click Edit to go to the settings page.
- If you don’t see it listed, it means you are not subscribed or have been unsubscribed. You can re-subscribe here.
- Click on the hamburger menu (☰) next to your profile photo.
- Directly from the Dhul Hijjah Challenge Settings page.
- From your Dhul Hijjah Challenge Home page.
- Look for the Edit your preference option and click on that.
- Look for the Edit your preference option and click on that.
Edit Your Settings
On the Dhul Hijjah Challenge settings page, you can make the following changes:
- Daily Giving Amount & Tip: Adjust the amount you want to give each day, as well as the tip amount.
- Payment Method: Update your card details if needed.
- Challenge Enrollment: Choose to join future Dhul Hijjah Challenges or leave the current challenge.
- If you make any changes, be sure to click on Save Settings.
Leaving the Challenge
If you decide to leave the challenge:
- Expand the Challenge enrollment section.
- Click on Leave Challenge.
- You will see a popup message below.
- You have two options:
- No, go back: Return to the settings without leaving.
- Yes, cancel: Confirm that you want to leave the challenge.
- If you choose Yes, cancel, your participation in the Dhul Hijjah Challenge will be immediately canceled, and all future charges will be stopped.
Important:
If you change your mind after canceling, you can always re-join the Dhul Hijjah Challenge by visiting the Scheduled Giving page and subscribing again.

Track Your Giving with the Giving Grid
On the homepage, you’ll see the Giving Grid, which displays the status of your daily donations:
- Once a donation is successfully charged, the corresponding grid will be filled.
- You can track whether the donation for each day has gone through and see the daily amount charged.
- You’ll also see the countdown timer indicating when the next charge will be processed.
- Additionally, you can view the next fundraiser page from your Giving List, helping you stay connected to the causes you support.

When Will You Be Charged?
Your donation will be charged daily at Maghrib time, starting from the first day of Dhul Hijjah. By default, the charge will follow the Maghrib time of the location tied to the card used on the Giving Plan.
However, you can customize the location for your scheduled giving to ensure that charges happen based on the Maghrib time of your preferred location.
How to Set Your Charging Location
To set or update your charging location:
- Login on Launchgood.com/login and go to your profile.
- Click on the hamburger menu (☰) next to your profile photo.
- Expand the dropdown labeled Your Giving and click on Scheduled Giving.
- Under the Manage Scheduled Giving & Challenges section, look for Scheduled giving location. Click Set Address.
- In the search box, type your preferred location.
- Click on the location from the list that appears. Example as the photo below.
- Click Save to update your settings.
- If you want to change your location after saving, simply click the "Change Address" button and repeat the process.
Important Notes:
- Setting the location will determine which prayer time will be followed for all your Giving Plans under the account:

If you specifically want to support a single fundraiser multiple times, you can manually donate to that fundraiser outside of the challenge.
