Referrals and Scheduled Giving


  • Campaign creators are eligible to earn donation boosts for their campaign by referring individuals to the Dhul Hijjah Challenge (DHC) Scheduled Giving.

  • A referral is considered when a user successfully signs up using the campaign creator's unique team referral link and provides their giving preferences and payment details.

  • A successful sign-up means that the donor intends to actively participate in the challenge from the time of sign-up until the challenge's end.

  • Donors must sign up and commit to giving at least $5 USD per day to qualify for the Referral boost incentive (equivalent to 4 GBP, 23 MYR, 6 CAD, 7 AUD, 6 SGD, 8 NZD, 4 EUR).

  • Campaign creators will receive $50 for each unique qualifying referral completed before June 21st, 7 PM ET.

  • Additionally, campaign creators will be awarded an additional $1,000 for every 100 successful qualifying referrals.

  • All referrals are subject to review by LaunchGood. 

  • Prizes are awarded through LaunchGood boosts, which consist of scheduled donations made by Dhul Hijjah Challenge members.

  • Referral donation boosts will be reflected on the campaign once they are paid out.

  • Any campaign creator with an active campaign on LaunchGood during the Dhul Hijjah Challenge is eligible to participate and earn boosts.

How to enter:

Any campaign that creates a unique Team Link from their Dhul Hijjah campaign tab is eligible to participate in the Dhul Hijjah Referrals program. 


Contest Period:

The Dhul Hijjah Referrals program begins when the Dhul Hijjah Referrals feature is made available for campaign creators via the Dhul Hijjah tab and extends until June 21st, 2023 7pm ET. Only referrals acquired during this period will be eligible for the referral donation boosts per campaign.


Rules:

  1. A campaign creator must create their unique Team Link and save it within their Dhul Hijjah tab to participate.

  2. Team Links cannot be changed after they are saved. 

  3. A referral is counted when a user successfully signs-up to schedule their giving as part of the Dhul Hijjah Challenge. A successful sign-up is when a user commits their daily giving amount, provides their payment information, and confirms their participation in the challenge with the intention to give for the duration of the challenge period. 

  4. Donation boosts will be awarded to qualifying referrals only. To qualify, referrals must be

    1. Unique users with unique credit cards

    2. Signed up to give at least $5 USD per day to qualify for the Referral boost incentive (equivalent to 4 GBP, 23 MYR, 6 CAD, 7 AUD, 6 SGD, 8 NZD, 4 EUR).

  5. Successful referrals and donation boosts will be reflected on the campaign creator’s Dhul Hijjah tab. 

  6. Referral donation boosts will be allocated to the campaign that the Team Link was created from. 

  7. Donation boosts are awarded to individual campaigns - not a collection of campaigns or teams. 

  8. If a campaign creator has multiple team members running multiple campaigns, they may all use the same Team Link. However, the donation boost will only be allocated to the campaign through which the Team Link was created. 

  9. There is no minimum or maximum number of referrals.


Boost Distribution:

  • Winnings will be awarded to campaigns in the form of donations, or Dhul Hijjah Challenge boosts, from Dhul Hijjah Challenge members. 

  • Actual Dhul Hijjah boost numbers can vary based on the number of donors signed up to give.

  • Boost distribution will start after a campaign wins a boost and may occur across several days. All winnings will be fully allocated by the end of Dhul Hijjah.

  • These donations will be labelled as “Dhul Hijjah Challenge” in the donor report.

Daily Leaderboard Contests

How to enter:

Any campaign that is live throughout any part of the contest period is automatically in consideration for the Dhul Hijjah Challenge Daily Contest.


Contest Period:

The contest begins on the evening of Dhul Hijjah Day 1 June 18, 2023 at 7:00pm ET until Dhul Hijjah Day 9 June 27th at 7:00pm ET. Prizes are awarded every 24 hours with 9 daily contests taking place by the end of the contest period. 


Only online donations on LaunchGood that are received during the contest period will count towards the contest. 


Rules:


  1. Dhul Hijjah Challenge Contest Period: June 18, 2023 at 7:00pm ET until June 27th at 7:00pm ET. 

  2. Any campaign that receives any donations during the Dhul Hijjah Contest Period is eligible to win.

  3. Prizes will be awarded daily to top 5 campaigns in 2 categories (10 total): 

    1. Most online donations per day (total raised online)

    2. Most online unique donors per day

  4. The contest will reset daily at 7:00pm ET for both categories 

  5. If a campaign lands on both leaderboards, the prize with the highest value will be awarded. If a campaign places in both categories at the same place, campaign will receive one prize. 

  6. Prizes are awarded to individual campaigns - no collection of campaigns or teams

  7. LaunchGood has the right to reject any campaign 

  8. Only donations from organic sources count towards the leaderboard. Any donations from LaunchGood features, including marketing packages, will be excluded.

  9. Any first party donations may result in the campaign being disqualified from the contest.

  10. There will be a prize cap of $10,000 and any campaign that has won a cumulative of $10,000 in leaderboards winning will no longer be eligible to win further leaderboard prizes. However, on Day of Arafat, the prize cap will be lifted and all campaigns will be eligible to win.



Prizes:


Winning campaigns will be selected by LaunchGood based on the amount of online donations and number of unique online donors that each campaign raises. Standings will be reflected on LaunchGood.com/Leaderboards.

Day of Arafat Prizes

Prizes will be doubled on Day of Arafat (June 27th, 2023) and the prize cap will be removed 


Most Online Unique Donors & Most Raised Online

  • 1st Place: $10,000

  • 2nd Place: $5,000

  • 3rd Place: $2,000

  • 4th Place: $1,500

  • 5th Place: $1,000


Please note the above are estimates, actual Dhul Hijjah prizes can vary based on the number of automatic donors signed up to give through the Dhul Hijjah Challenge. LaunchGood may announce an increase in prizes throughout the contest period.

General Terms and Conditions

In the event that the operation, security, or administration of the Contest is impaired in any way for any reason, including, but not limited to fraud, virus, bug, worm, unauthorized human intervention or other technical problem, or in the event the Contest is unable to run as planned for any other reason, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, the Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, either (a) suspend the Contest to address the impairment and then resume the Contest in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules or (b) terminate the Contest and, in the event of termination, award the prize at random from among the eligible, non-suspect entries received up to the time of the impairment. The Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to damage the website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages (including attorney's fees) and any other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Failure by the Sponsor to enforce any provision of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.


Release and Limitations of Liability


By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, and each of their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies, other companies associated with the Contest, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, shareholders, representatives, and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of the prize including, but not limited to: (a) any technical errors associated with the Contest, including lost, interrupted or unavailable Internet Service Provider (ISP), network, server, wireless service provider, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone, cellular tower or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties; (b) unauthorized human intervention in the Contest; (c) mechanical, network, electronic, computer, human, printing or typographical errors; (d) application downloads, (e) any other errors or problems in connection with the Contest, including, without limitation, errors that may occur in the administration of the Contest, the announcement of the winner, the cancellation or postponement of the event and/or the flyover, if applicable, the incorrect downloading of the application, the processing of entries application downloads or in any Contest-related materials; or (f) injury, death, losses or damages of any kind, to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrants participation in the Contest or acceptance, receipt or misuse of the prize. Entrant further agrees that in any cause of action, the Released Parties liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the Contest, and in no event shall the entrant be entitled to receive attorney's fees. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest. Entrant waives the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages.


Disputes


Except where prohibited, each entrant agrees that any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Contest or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in the United States. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, entrants rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of state of Michigan without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules, which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than Michigan.


Privacy

Information collected from entrants is subject to Sponsor's privacy policy.


Eligibility

LaunchGood 2023 prizes through the Dhul Hijjah Challenge are eligible for any campaign creator that has a campaign that is live throughout any part of the duration of the ‘Contest Period’ as defined below. LaunchGood has the right to reject any potential winner if it suspects fraud, misuse of funds, or unclear breakdown of how and where funds may be used. 

The Contest is sponsored by LaunchGood Inc., located at 4444 2nd Avenue, Detroit, Michigan 48201.



Agreement to Official Rules

Participation in the Contest constitutes entrant's full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon being compliant with these Official Rules and fulfilling all other requirements set forth herein.
