We have removed the 'Update Donors' email feature from our fundraiser dashboard. While you can still post updates to your campaign page to inform your donors, fundraisers can no longer send email updates to donors directly from their dashboard.
2. Why was this feature removed?
This decision was made to prevent misuse and ensure compliance with our email provider’s policies. Some campaign creators were using the feature for mass marketing rather than essential transactional updates. This led to:
- Excessive email notifications, affecting the donor experience.
- High volumes of flagged emails and complaints.
- A misalignment with our platform’s intended use of transactional messaging.
3. How can I update my donors now?
You can still keep your donors informed in the following ways:
- Post updates on your campaign page – Donors can visit your page to see the latest information posted through the "Update Donors" feature on the campaign page.
- Download your donor report – If donors have opted in, their email addresses will be available, allowing you to send updates through your email service.

We are rethinking what meaningful donor engagement should look like on LaunchGood to create a more valuable and enriching experience for everyone. Our goal is to develop new ways for fundraisers to connect with their supporters in a way that fosters trust, transparency, and lasting impact.
