Description of Weekly Leaderboards on LaunchGood
LaunchGood has created an opportunity for any eligible fundraiser on the platform to win a prize throughout the year via Weekly Leaderboards pursuant to the rules, terms, and conditions described in more detail in this document.
- The Weekly Leaderboard (hereinafter, the “Leaderboard”) is sponsored by LaunchGood (in such capacity, the “Sponsor”) and hosted on a crowdfunding platform operated by LaunchGood through its website (the “Platform”). The Sponsor is responsible for providing the prize(s) for the Leaderboard. The Sponsor may also be referred to herein as the “Prize Provider.” Your participation in the Leaderboard means that you unconditionally agree to these Official Rules and all decisions by the Sponsor and Prize Provider, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Leaderboard.
- This Leaderboard and program are completely voluntary promotions, cancellable at any time by LaunchGood and/or the Sponsor, as further detailed below.
Weekly Leaderboard description and eligibility.
The Weekly Leaderboard (the "Leaderboard") is open to all registered fundraisers on LaunchGood (the "Platform") who have an active campaign during the Leaderboard period. The Leaderboard consists of two ranking categories: (i) Most Raised, which tracks the total amount of online donations received per week, and (ii) Most Supported, which measures the number of unique online donors per week. By participating in the Leaderboard, fundraisers will be eligible to win a weekly prize throughout the year.
- Participant eligibility: The Leaderboard is open to all active campaigns on the Platform during the Leaderboard period. If a participant is representing an organization, they must be an authorized representative with the legal capacity to bind the organization. By entering the Leaderboard, the participant represents and warrants that they have read and agree to be bound by these Official Rules on behalf of their organization. All entries made in connection with the Leaderboard are subject to verification before a prize is awarded. Employees, independent contractors, officers, and directors of LaunchGood (the "Sponsor"), as well as their immediate family members (spouses, parents, siblings, and children) and household members, whether or not related, are not eligible to participate if the campaign has previously received a boost from the Platform. Additionally, all campaigns and related content must comply with LaunchGood’s Terms of Use. Any campaign containing unlawful, hateful, or obscene content, as determined by LaunchGood in its sole discretion, will be disqualified. Furthermore, all funds raised through a campaign must be used solely for the intended purpose stated within the campaign. If a campaign is found to be in violation of these terms, LaunchGood reserves the right to disqualify the campaign from the Leaderboard and take further action if necessary.
- Donation eligibility: Donations must be processed through the Platform at https://www.launchgood.com/ (the “Website”) using a credit or debit card during the Leaderboard Period (defined below). Additionally, donations must be made through the Platform and its third-party payment processor during the Leaderboard Period and successfully processed to completion through the Platform and its third-party payment processor(s) before the end of the Leaderboard Period in order to count toward the Leaderboard. Donations can take time to process. Donations made outside the Leaderboard Period and/or offline, even if recorded on the Website, including, but not limited to, donations by cash, credit card, money order, or any other donations not successfully processed online via credit or debit card (“Offline Donations”), or donations that are refunded, returned or disputed, or that are otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules are not eligible and will not be counted toward the Leaderboard. The Sponsor has the right to verify any donation, and any donation that is subject to chargeback or dispute may not count toward the total amount raised. Neither Sponsor nor the Platform is responsible for any delays in processing any donations. The list of donations on any particular Campaign page, if any, or any similar tally of donation(s), are unofficial tallies of the amounts of donations in a Campaign and may not accurately reflect the donations made based on a variety of factors. Results of the Leaderboard are not official until the Sponsor has verified the winner(s).
Ineligible donations
Donation receipts and confirmation emails alone do not confirm donation eligibility. Donations must be made through the correct source to be counted towards the Leaderboard.
Offline donations will not be counted. In cases where CCs or individuals associated with a charity attempt to make last-minute donations to represent offline contributions, such donations will be disqualified.
Charities donating to each other to Influence Leaderboard standings with the intent of manipulating leaderboard results, these donations will not be accepted. Such donations will be disqualified and will not count towards the leaderboard.
Donations made via LaunchGood internal sources, features, including Ads, will be excluded from the Weekly Leaderboards. Collectively, each of the donations specified in this paragraph as ineligible shall be referred to as “Ineligible Donations.” Additionally, donations made through LaunchGood’s internal marketing features—including but not limited to homepage placements, Discover page listings, and paid ads—will be excluded from the Weekly Leaderboards. Donations flagged as originating from LaunchGood’s internal promotions (SRC = “internal_” & “lg_”) will not be counted. To ensure compliance with this rule, LaunchGood reserves the right to conduct manual reviews using its internal data systems and to disqualify any donations deemed ineligible. Our team reserves the right to conduct manual reviews using our internal data system to ensure compliance with this rule.
Acceptable and non-acceptable First-Party Donations
To ensure fair competition and prevent manipulation of leaderboard standings, LaunchGood defines specific scenarios where first-party donations may or may not be accepted.
First-Party Donation policy
LaunchGood has implemented a standardized policy governing first-party donations across all Weekly Leaderboards.
Under this policy, first-party donations are capped at $5,000 USD per individual across all Leaderboards.
For the purposes of this policy, first-party donors include individuals directly connected to the organization running the campaign, including but not limited to:
- board members
- staff members
- founders
- key stakeholders
- individuals with decision-making authority or financial oversight within the organization
LaunchGood reserves the right to determine, at its sole discretion, whether a donor is classified as a first-party donor.
Donations from individuals classified as first-party donors may be permitted up to the $5,000 limit described above. Any amount exceeding this cap may be excluded from Leaderboard calculations and Leaderboard eligibility.
LaunchGood may review requests for exceptions to a donor’s classification. However, any exception must be reviewed and explicitly approved by LaunchGood.
This policy ensures consistent enforcement across Leaderboards and helps LaunchGood manage compliance obligations with payment service providers and regulatory requirements.
Unless otherwise stated in this section, all other donation eligibility rules outlined in these Terms and Conditions continue to apply.

c. Volunteers donating to their own fundraising campaigns
